Brightening & tone

Niacinamide

also known as Vitamin B3

The all-rounder — evens tone, calms redness, and tightens the look of pores without irritation.

What it actually does

Niacinamide slows the transfer of pigment to the surface of your skin (which is why it gently fades dark spots over weeks, not days), supports the lipid layer that holds water in, and dials down the inflammation that makes redness look angry. At the 2–5% concentrations common in K-Beauty, it's one of the most well-studied multi-taskers in skincare — and one of the only actives that genuinely plays well with everything else in your routine.

Who it's for

Almost everyone. Especially useful if you're dealing with post-acne marks, uneven tone, visible pores, or a barrier that's been pushed too hard by exfoliants or retinoids. It's gentle enough for sensitive and reactive skin.

How to use it

Morning, evening, or both. Layer it after watery essences and before heavier creams. Safe to combine with vitamin C, retinoids, and acids — the old 'don't mix with vitamin C' rule was overblown.
