Pricing · For K-beauty brands
Price where the US market actually is.
Guess your US price too high and you don't sell; too low and you leave margin — and start a race to the bottom. The K·Beauty Plug's Pricing & MAP Advisor shows where your live US prices sit against the real market for your category, suggests a price position that holds margin and fits demand, and helps you set a MAP floor worth protecting — all from neutral, cross-retailer data.
No pay-to-rank. Neutral market data — the numbers aren't for sale.
Why pricing is guesswork
Most US pricing is a guess. Yours doesn't have to be.
Set a US price without seeing the market and you're guessing — copying a competitor, marking up from cost, or matching your Korean price at the exchange rate. None of those tell you what US shoppers in your category actually pay, or where a retailer expects you to land. And without a defined MAP floor, the first discounter sets your price for you. Real pricing needs two things most emerging brands don't have: a live view of the market, and a floor you've decided to defend.
Your price vs the live market
We show where your current US prices sit against the real price band for your category, pulled from our cross-retailer data — so you can see if you're above, below, or in the market.
A data-backed price position
Get a suggested price range that holds margin and fits where demand actually is, instead of a number you guessed.
A MAP floor worth protecting
We help you set a minimum advertised price that makes sense for your positioning — the floor Plug Watch then helps you defend.
Neutral, cross-retailer data
Built on our own live pricing across US retailers — neutral data no seller can pay to skew.
Ties into the whole suite
Pairs with the landed-cost calculator (does the price leave margin?) and Plug Watch (is anyone breaking your floor?) for pricing you can actually hold.
How it works
- 1
Tell us your brand and products.
- 2
See where your prices sit against the US market, with a suggested position.
- 3
Set a MAP floor and hand it to Plug Watch to defend.
Neutral data, your decision.
The advisor shows you the market and suggests a position — but the price is yours to set. The data is neutral: no retailer or brand can pay to move where the market band sits or nudge a recommendation. We give you the honest picture; you decide where to stand in it.
Common questions
How do you know where the US market price is?
From our own live, cross-retailer pricing data for K-beauty. We compare your prices to the real range shoppers pay in your category — not a guess or a single competitor.
What is a MAP floor and why set one?
MAP (minimum advertised price) is the lowest price you allow sellers to advertise. Setting a floor stops discounters from defining your price and protects the partners who price fairly. The advisor helps you pick a floor that fits your positioning; Plug Watch then flags anyone who breaks it.
How is this different from the landed-cost calculator?
Landed cost tells you whether a price leaves margin after duty, freight, and fees. The Pricing & MAP Advisor tells you where that price sits against the market and what floor to protect. Use them together: one checks margin, the other checks the market.
How is this different from Plug Watch?
Plug Watch monitors who's selling you and flags MAP breaks after the fact. The advisor is the upfront step — deciding where to price and what floor to set in the first place.
Will it just tell me to raise prices?
No. It shows you the real market band and where demand is; sometimes that means room to go higher, sometimes you're already above market. The point is to price with data, not to push a direction.
How much does it cost?
It's free to start, as part of the Brand Hub — one of a suite of free tools for emerging K-beauty brands in our Ieum program. Discovery, verification, and the toolkit are free, and we never take payment to rank.
