It's the treatment every Seoul clinic will offer you and every US med-spa is quietly renaming. Here's what it does, what a course really involves, and where the line sits between the injection and the serum.
Educational only. Not medical advice.
Rejuran is a brand name for injections of polynucleotides — long fragments of DNA extracted from salmon. A doctor puts them into the dermis, either as a series of small blebs across the face or spread through mesotherapy.
It is not a filler: it adds no volume and will not sharpen a jawline. It is not Botox: it freezes nothing. What it's meant to do is prompt your own skin to behave more like tissue that's repairing itself — which is why the change is gradual, why it's sold as a course, and why one session leaves most people underwhelmed.
Rejuran is one of four things a clinic might mean by "skin booster".
Most Seoul clinics will put you on three to four sessions, two to four weeks apart, then a maintenance session every few months.
Two things the marketing skips. First, you will have visible bumps where the needle went in — usually gone inside a day, sometimes two. Second, it hurts. Numbing cream is standard, you should ask for it, and you should wait the full time before they start.
Clinics rarely say "Rejuran" and stop there.
Which one you're getting changes both the price and the point. If a package quote doesn't name the version, ask before you pay.
If you're reading this from the States, the injection isn't available to you here. Injectable polynucleotide products, Rejuran included, are not FDA-approved in the US. Topical PDRN cosmetics — the serums, the creams, the sheet masks — sit in a different regulatory category and are sold legally.
That gap is the whole reason "salmon DNA" exploded onto US shelves while the actual injection stayed in Seoul. It's also why so much US coverage blurs the two together.
Less than the injection, and we'd rather say that than sell you a dupe. PDRN is a large molecule and your skin barrier is good at its job, so how much of a topical dose reaches anywhere useful is a genuinely open question — our own ingredient page says the same thing.
Where topicals do earn their place: hydration, barrier support, and calm after a procedure. If that's what you're after, the prices are worth comparing.

릴리브의원
Apgujeong boutique marketing 'pain-free' injectables; 1:1 doctor, private rooms, Rejuran/Juvelook focus.
호안클리닉
Newly opened Hannam-dong 'slow-aging' clinic that pairs functional medicine (blood-panel-driven inner care) with layer-by-layer medical aesthetics — lifting (Ulthera/Thermage/Sofwave), skin boosters, regenerative injectables and exosome. Hotel-like private rooms and an unhurried, consultation-first feel; a wellness-led premium option rather than a fast-paced factory clinic.
청담퍼스널의원
Cheongdam 'personalized' boutique built around custom filler contouring (its Perfec-Fill line) and device lifting — Ultherapy, Thermage, Virtue RF, thread lifting and skin boosters mapped to each face. Marketed as bespoke rather than one-size-fits-all; visible Taiwan/Thailand patient base, so English may be limited.
유넬의원
Physician-led boutique aesthetic clinic on Teheran-ro that splits its menu between skin-quality/regeneration (Rejuran, skin boosters, skin botox) and device lifting (Ultherapy Prime, Thermage FLX, Sofwave, ONDA). Runs rotating monthly event pricing that keeps it mid-range rather than top-tier Cheongdam. Presentation is Korean-first with no English site we could find, so it reads as a domestic clinic — worth a direct consult to confirm language support and exactly what's included.
